Recycling
The Hurlburt Field Recycling Center, on the east-side of the base in Bldg. 91360, recycles more
than 3.7 million pounds of materials each year. Scheduled pick-ups are made to every building on
base and base housing. The center accepts all paper products including books, magazines, junk mail,
brown shopping bags; aluminum and steel cans; plastic bottles; cardboard and toner cartridges.
An additional drop-off point is on Recycling Way, adjacent to the commissary parking lot.
A percentage of recycling profits is given to the morale, welfare and recreation fund annually for
quality of life activities at Hurlburt Field. Additionally, some profits may be allocated to help
fund pollution prevention projects.
