Honor Guard - Drill Team
The Hurlburt Field Honor Guard Drill Team serves to foster pride & confidence in our evolving Expeditionary Aerospace Force,
inspire Air Force awareness in the military and civilian community, & encourage young men and women to serve their country.
Through its complex drill routines with M-1 rifles and fixed bayonets, the Drill Team embodies teamwork, professionalism, and
discipline. The Drill Team has performed during various base and local community activities. The Drill Team's incredible 4-Person
routine showcases a professionally choreographed routine full of show-stopping weapon manuals, precise tosses, and complex weapon
exchanges. This 5-minute routine is centered around a stationary drill commander, flanked by four Team members. The Drill Team
members simultaneously hurl their 13-pound weapons over and around the commander, performing a sequence of events unmatched by
any other base drill team.
In order to try out for the Drill Team, you must be a member of the Honor Guard for at least two month, show proficiency in
drill and weapon movements, and have the approval from trainers within your flight.
