Honor Guard
Mission of the Hurlburt Field Honor Guard
Stationed at Hurlburt Field, Florida, the Honor Guard is an elite cadre of Ceremonial Guardsman. The mission
of the Honor Guard is to represent the Air Force as "Ambassadors In Blue" in ceremonial functions in the Hurlburt
Field and surrounding communities.
The Honor Guard is comprised of volunteers that represent every squadron assigned to the 1 SOW and tenant units.
Specific duties of the Honor Guard include:

Rendering military honors for Air Force personnel and their family members during funeral services within 13 counties
in Florida and Alabama.

Change of Command, Retirement Ceremonies, Weddings & Cordons.

Color Guards for official receptions, and other state and military occasions in the surrounding areas

Demonstrate the overwhelming aspects of teamwork, commitment, and discipline through various public appearances
and Drill Team demonstration throughout the community and at local schools.
